Man City vs Leeds United highlights as Ilkay Gundogan double ensures win

Manchester City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to four points this afternoon as they beat Leeds United 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

A brace from Ilkay Gundogan saw the hosts earn a 2-0 half-time lead but the club captain's second half penalty miss brought fury from Pep Guardiola who saw Leeds go up the other end and grab a goal back.

Arsenal next play on Sunday when they travel north to take on Newcastle United to try and reduce the gap once more.

Sam Allardyce, who has been installed at Elland Road in a bid to keep them in the top flight, hailed his side's effort in his first outing.

Kevin De Bruyne returned for City after missing their last two games, while there was also a rare Premier League start for youngster Rico Lewis.
